Hello! My name is Morgan Penge, and I am incredibly honored to serve as your 2026 Santiam Canyon Stampede Queen. I am 19 years old and currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at George Fox University. I have been riding horses for 14 years; I participated in Marion County 4-H for 10 years. I have been showing horses in a wide variety of events, with a primarily focus on the performance horse industry.  Recently I’ve discovered a passion for the ranch division at local breed shows. Throughout all four years of high school, I also competed in the Early College High School Equestrian Team. In doing so, I developed new skills and discovered my love for the versatile horse. My love of animals didn’t stop with horses; in my Senior year of high school, I also exhibited market turkeys. Although I wasn’t born into the agricultural industry, it has become one of the most meaningful parts of my life. Agriculture has given me opportunities, community, and lifelong lessons. I am passionate about educating and encouraging youth involvement any way I can. You can often find me in the barn helping kids work through projects and growing their own love for agriculture. In my travels throughout the year, you’ll see me riding a few different horses. My main partner will be my mustang, Chili, who is learning the ropes of rodeo and has already stepped into the role exceptionally well. I also plan to bring along my paint gelding, Cutter, for appearances—he absolutely loves a crowd! I am so grateful to everyone who has supported and encouraged me in achieving my goal of becoming part of the Stampede family. I cannot wait to see everyone at the 28th Annual Santiam Canyon Stampede, July 17th and 18th. Be sure to get your tickets soon! With gratitude,
